JAKARTA – Hudawwudi Pancalaku Dhikr Council (Majlis Hudawwudi Pancalaku), which its members are found in multiple countries, donated 700 pound sterling, 1,000 Malaysian Ringgit, and Rp350,000 for the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers handling Covid-19 through Dompet Dhuafa.
“The majority of donation is dedicated to provide medical personnel with proper personal protective equipment,” said Wiyoso Hadi, Chairman of the Majlis Hudawwudi Pancalaku to kbknews.id, Friday (4/17/2020).
Wiyoso said, the dhikr council was established in 2017 and its members came from various countries such as Britain, America, Germany, France, Turkey, Bosnia, Spain, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Argentina, Pakistan, India, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and from more other countries.
“(Majlis Pancalaku) has active branches in Mauritius, Singapore, and Malaysia. Whereas in other countries where there are no branches, remembrance (dhikr) is carried out individually (independently) under my guidance,” said Wiyoso.
Furthermore, Wiyoso also highlighted the dhikr session of the gathering covers tahlil, istighfar, salawat to Prophet Muhamad pbuh hundreds to thousands of times as well as sermons on Sufism in English.
Some of the Majlis Hudawwudi Pancalaku members, he continued, are also active members of the Shadhiliyya, Qadiriyya, Tijaniyya, Naqsyabandiyya, Sammaniyya, and Mevlevi (Mawlawiyya) orders.
“The Covid-19 donation was opened by this dhikr council since March 30, 2020 in form of either Zakat payment which the beneficiaries are determined by Dompet Dhuafa or donation that is intended for the procurement of the personal protective equipment for medical personnel in Dompet Dhuafa’s RST Hospital under the management of dr. Zakaria,” said Wiyoso.
Wiyoso also mentioned that previously some of the council’s members have distributed their zakat and donation through Dompet Dhuafa in either Jakarta or Dompet Dhuafa’s Cultural House in Rejosari, Madiun since 2017.
